Football: Rocks sent crashing by Bath

Vanarama National League South

Bath City 2 v 1 East Thurrock United

Bath City 2 (Diallo 3, Morgan 39) East Thurrock United 1 (Harris 90)

BATH City extended their winning streak to four games as two first-half goals were enough to see off East Thurrock United.

Naby Diallo put Bath ahead within three minutes and Marvin Morgan added the second shortly before the break.

East Thurrock tried what they could but they had trouble stemming the tide of a resolute and organised Bath, who many fancy to go far this season.

Reece Harris scored late on but this will be one of the tests now for East Thurrock. The long six hour round trip and all for nothing.

But they return to action on Bank Holiday Monday with a home fixture against Eastbourne Borough.
