Jack Day of Belhus continued his good run of form with a fine undefeated 59 at North Stifford on Saturday, though Mark O’Neill responded in kind for the visitors with a match winning 61. For the hosts, Jack Plane and Billy Winter picked up two wickets apiece in this 35-overs per side match.
Wayne Read struck his third century of the season to finish on 107 not out and reached 1,000 runs for the year. He hit twelve boundaries. Belhus opener Keith Dhannie blasted his way to 64 runs which included thirteen fours. Zak Wilson, Liam Waters and Billy Maidment played good supporting roles with 23, 18 and 15 not out respectively. For Dulwich, Dan Edwards picked up 4-66 from eight overs, Mario Lambrette claimed 2-44 from four overs while Patrick George collected the remaining wicket.
After the break, there was some fine batting from Surrey U17 player Kira Chathli, who struck 68 in a knock which included eleven fours. She was eventually run out by Jack Plane having put on 92 for the first wicket with George, who made 33. Harry Chathli was undefeated on 59 but by that time Dulwich had fallen 77 runs short of their target in this 40-overs per side match. John Wilson joined Plane in achieving a run out while there was a wicket each for Billy Maidment, Baiju Mohammed and Michael Randall.
