IMPULSE Leisure are hosting a MacMillan coffee morning and it will be held on Wednesday 5th October from 10.00am – 12.00pm
The coffee morning will be held in the Civic Hall foyer, next to their Impulse Leisure building.
They are offering tea, coffee and cold drinks with a variety of cakes and biscuits as well as support stalls from Macmillan who will offer advice and support.
They will also have a live DJ, provided by Impulse Leisure, playing background music.
They are having a raffle with lots of prizes including. Impulse Leisure FREE swims, Golf days (including one from Belhus Park Golf Club) , champagne, £75 Intu lakeside voucher, restaurant vouchers, hampers, Orsett Hall voucher, expensive whiskeys, hairdressing voucher and much more.
The Civic Hall are giving up their foyer for FREE and Wendy Barnard and Impulse staff are donating their time to make this a success and to hopefully make it a well-known annual event.
Minimum £2 for tea or coffee and a cake but people can donate more if they choose.
Cakes will be purchased from Costco so we can detail ingredients and nutritional information and to follow health and hygiene protocol.
Wendy Barnard works with cancer rehab groups and has a huge following so they are expecting a large attendance.
Everybody is touched by cancer in some way and through word and mouth we are hoping for lots of people to show up.
Cancer sufferers pre and post attend Wendy’s groups at Impulse Leisure and will be participating by holding a tombola with all proceeds going towards Macmillan. It is a chance for Impulse Leisure to utilise their close relationships with St Lukes, local GPs and Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital.
All proceeds from this event will be going to Macmillan and we will be having a cheque presentation after the event.
Cancer is a tough and heart breaking disease but Impulse Leisure are hoping this coffee morning will be fun and informative event but most importantly we hope to raise lots of money for Macmillan cancer support through Impulse Leisure and our local community.
