THURROCK MP, Jackie Doyle-Price has questioned whether the constituency of Thurrock needs a new name.
The reasoning appears to be that there is a large swathe of Thurrock that is not in her constituency. It is called East Thurrock and is part of the constituency called South Basildon and East Thurrock.
We asked UKIP what they thought of the charismatic MPs suggestion.
Cllr Tim Aker MEP said: "Thurrock’s MP didn’t represent the constituency in the referendum, she backed "Remain".
"She doesn’t represent the constituency on the Thames Crossing, she wants another.
Time and again she is out of step with Thurrock residents.
"The seat doesn’t need a new name, it needs a new MP who is on Thurrock’s side."
