THE Gateway Academy’s Year 10/11 rugby team recently competed in the District tournament at Thurrock RFC, finishing a very respectable 2nd overall.
The very proud PE team at the Gateway Academy agreed that “The boys played really well throughout their matches against William Edwards and St Clere’s, showing real passion and determination in their first games of the year, with Bradley S and Charlie C captaining the side.
William Edwards won overall, with St Clere’s finishing 3rd. We would like to thank Thurrock RFC who are hosting all of the District rugby tournaments free of charge to help promote rugby within the community.”
