Lansdowne Primary do their bit for the Tilbury community

STAFF, parents and their families recently took part in a special community day at Lansdowne Primary Academy. The day was held to clear weeds, old plants, logs and generally to tidy up the grounds. The rain didn’t dampen the high spirits and the can do’ attitude of all the volunteers.Principal, Miss Monique Anderson, said “They all did a great job! The planters were completely cleared out and 24 red and white potatoes were discovered, which were eaten that evening by a member of staff. The verdict… delicious! .Mrs Dobbs and her daughter Ann completely cleared the front entrance of all weeds making the first impression of the school a great one. We are planning our next community day on Saturday 26 November and welcome everyone. Just bring your woolly hats, gloves spades, forks and that special can do’ attitude! A big thank you also goes to Lisa and Tim Davey, Nicola Spindler, Dominic Davidson, Natalie and Elise Cummings, Jeanette Meurs, Sharon and Ann Dobbs, Kelly and Success Obumselu who all helped at the Lansdowne Primary Academy’s first community day of the year.
