Thurrock Council set up news service

THE first issue of Thurrock’s monthly newsletter has landed in residents’ inboxes. ‘Thurrock News’ provides residents with all the latest on events and services from across the borough.

The first issue featured information on the #LoveThurrock campaign to clean up the borough, a competition to win a pair of tickets for Peter Pan at Thameside this Christmas and an update on the widening of the A13 between the Orsett Cock and Manorway roundabouts.

‘Thurrock News’ will feature updates on priority areas for residents, key messages about the council and important dates for the diary.

Portfolio Holder for Finance and Legal, Cllr Shane Hebb, said: “This is a new way for us to let our residents know what is going on in the borough in a way that works around the very busy lifestyles of Thurrock people. The new, regular e-mails will be waiting in your inbox ready to read when you have the time.

“I encourage all residents to sign up to stay updated with all the latest from Thurrock Council.”
