Quiet Halloween in Stanford-le-Hope (or at least that is what the police told us!)

HERE at YT we had a look at social media last night in order to gauge if there was any evidence of anti-social behaviour (aka crime) across Thurrock on Halloween.

To be fair, there were lots of good reports in East Tilbury and Orsett. However, in Stanford-le-Hope and Stifford Clays, there were a number of complaints of youths causing annoyance and other crimes at common law.

So, when we were further contacted on social media with reports that several cars were vandalised in one street alone in Stanford-le-Hope, we thought we would also Essex Police.

Now, the press team told us that they could not see “anything Halloween or anti-social behaviour related that that’s been reported to then from the Stanford-le-Hope area”.

That does beg a lot of questions but all we wanted to say, is that if you have evidence of criminality then let us know.

All your councillors in Stanford were recently very vocal in declaring that recorded crime is down and perhaps, just perhaps, Halloween might provide a clue as to why…..
