THE successful enterprise funding initiative Thurrock Soup is back for its second helping at The Old Courthouse in Orsett Road, Grays on Friday 18th November at 6:30pm.
Local people are invited to “pitch” their business or social enterprise ideas to everyone who attends, who pay £5 for a bowl of soup and then vote for the best idea.
The winner receives the proceeds of the event for them to invest in their enterprise.
This month, the soup is being provided by the Café in Thameside Theatre, manager Stoyan Georgiev said: “We are delighted to support this innovative event which helps local people improve their lives and the lives of others by simply starting a business”.
