Concerns for distressed woman seen in Grays

POLICE are concerned for the welfare of a woman seen distressed in the street in Grays and are appealing for the public’s help to try and find her.

Officers were contacted at 7.15pm on Tuesday November 15 following reports a woman was seen with the two men in Derby Road, Grays. The woman appeared to be distressed and was being ushered along the road by the men and turned right into Orsett Road

Police have carried out extensive enquiries in the area to try and trace the woman and are now appealing for anyone who may have seen her or the men to contact them.

Det Sgt Natalia Ross of Grays CID said: “We are concerned for the welfare of this woman as, according to reports, she appeared to be distressed.

“At this time we are unsure whether she is a victim of crime or whether any offences have been committed, but we would like to trace her in order to confirm those things and to ensure she is okay.

“If you are the woman in question, if you know her or you saw her in the Derby Road or Orsett Road area at the time please get in contact with us.”

The woman is described as white, with shoulder-length brown hair, aged in her mid-20s, of slim build with an Eastern European accent. She was wearing a white shirt under a red jumper which had cuffs and a collar, blue jeans and white trainers.

One of the men is described as white, aged in his 20s, muscular and was wearing a tight white t-shirt and jeans. The second man was also white, aged in his late 40s, with dark hair and wore a blue tracksuit top.
