Vanarama National League South
Concord Rangers 1 v 1 East Thurrock United
Match report by Jack Smith courtesy of Concord Rangers
AN INJURY time strike by Tom Wraight secured a vital point for East Thurrock United on Boxing Day.
Wraight’s left footed free kick sailed over the wall and into the top right hand corner after Joe Gardner was felled on the edge of the area in the 94th minute.
Up to that point, the tie was heavily weighted in favour of the home side, well in the ascendancy and seemingly in control.
Concord scored in the 78th minute through Jordan Chiedozie an dit looked like they would take all three points until the Wraight equaliser.
Local bragging rights still up for grabs, with the return game taking place at Rookery Hill on New Years Day (Sunday, 3-00).
