ORSETT Hall were very proud to be sponsoring the Business Woman of the Year category at the Countywide Business Awards which culminated in a glittering awards ceremony at Crowne Plaza Resort just before Christmas.
Andrea Ince, Marketing Manager of Orsett Hall met each of the Finalists and had the very hard decision of picking just one winner. She said: ‘The standard of entry in this category was extremely high as you would expect in a county-wideide awards. All of the finalists should be very proud of what they have achieved with each of them having to overcome obstacles on the way in one form or another.
“Being a business owner is not always easy but with determination and focus each of the Finalists have successful businesses which are still growing.’
The winner was Nathalie Farmer of The Face Painting Shop in Thurrock. Andrea felt that Nathalie has shown great passion, drive, determination, dedication and ambition in setting up and running her very successful business. She is extremely organised and motivated which not only showed in her written entry but also with all she spoke about during her interview. Some highlights of the past year have seen Nathalie growing international exports at a very high rate, being recognised in the National Press as a supplier to the fashion industry, selling her products in shops around the world, her international training workshops have immediately sold out, her online shop has been accredited by Google, expanding her product line, offering new services and she is always learning new skills to advance the business further including earning further qualifications and completing a public speaking course. Nathalie is even attempting to break a world record in 2017! Andrea said, ‘Natalie not only ensures that her business in Thurrock is well and firmly on the map in Essex but also that her business in Essex is known worldwide. I know that winning this award will mean a great deal to Nathalie – congratulations on everything you have achieved!’
