THERE are over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK. It costs the UK economy £26.3billion a year and can ruin the lives of people living with it and those caring for them.
This year organisations are supporting Essex dementia day, organised by the pan-Essex dementia alliance. This year’s theme is ‘Do something different’ and in the spirit of this, NELFT are hosting a Glitz and Glamour day in the foyer at Thurrock Civic Offices alongside their dementia crisis support team from 10am-3pm where they invite you to come along and help to raise awareness of dementia care in Essex.
