Thurrock Labour Party’s Group Observer and Ethnic Minorities Officer Mr. Qaisar Abbas has been given ‘Diverse Community Leader and Peace Supporter’ award by the Global Diversity Peace Centre London in recognition of his work for different communities.
The award was presented by Mr. Md Elahi (Founder of Peace Centre), Revd. Canon Barnabas (Coordinator of Faithful Friends of Church of England) and Revd. Dr. Chigor Chike (Church Minister).
The award ceremony was held in East London to honour the leaders of different political and religious groups for their work.
Mr. Abbas thanked the organisers for recognising his efforts.
