Man left with life threatening injuries after smash in Stanford-le-Hope

ESSEX Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision that has left a driver with life threatening injuries.

A blue Ford KA was travelling on The Manorway in Stanford-le-Hope at about 10.30pm on Saturday, March 18 when it lost control.

It left the road and overturned. No other vehicle was involved.

Officers and the ambulance attended and the driver, a 32-year-old man from Stanford-le-Hope, was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The road was closed between the junctions with The Sorrells and Giffords Cross Road until about 3.55am on Sunday, March 19 while forensic examinations took place.
