Thurrock Labour commit to community links

THURROCK Labour Party’s Group Observer and Ethnic Minorities Officer Mr. Qaisar Abbas hosted a meeting in Grays to discuss the idea of bringing different communities together and to condemn the attack on Parliament house.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Lee Watson (Vice Chairperson Thurrock Labour Party), Mr. Gurdip Singh Dhillon (President Grays Gurdawara), Mr. Abul Khoyar (Chairman Thurrock Helping Hands), Mr. Jamil Mazori (Businessman), Mr. Umar and others.

Ms. Watson said “I respect the values of all the communities and we need to work together to create better understanding with each other”.

Mr. Dhillon said “All communities should work for the country and help each other. Terrorism has nothing to do with us. This is a beautiful country and we all are proud British”.

All the participants condemned the attack on Parliament house and paid tribute to the victims of this horrific attack.

In closing speech Mr. Abbas said “we will continue working together for peace and prosperity”. Mr. Abbas also thanked all the participants.
