ENSIGN Buses has stepped in to run two key bus routes in the borough in place of the usual operator.
They announced on Twitter and later confirmed to YT that “Amber Coaches have ceased operating Thurrock routes 11 & 374.
“We are operating these routes on an emergency basis until further notice.”
Ensgin Buses told YT that they had been contacted by Thurrock Council on Monday.
YT spoke to Amber Coaches who confirmed that Ensign were running the two routes but would not comment further.
A spokesperson for Thurrock Council said: “Thurrock Council is aware that Ensign Bus Company will be operating the 11 and 374 bus routes – previously operated by Amber Coaches – until further notice.
“Although the buses will be different, the timetable, schedule and fares will remain the same”.
