Thoroughly Thurrock Networking Twilight – Wednesday 19 April 2017
Guest Speaking Dan Gierhart, Transport for London (TFL), Elizabeth Line
Essex Chambers of Commerce are hosting their next Thoroughly Thurrock Networking Twilight event, at Orsett Hall on Wednesday 19 April 2017 with the Guest Speaker Dan Gierhart, Transport for London (TfL), Elizabeth Line formerly Crossrail between 4.30pm and 6.30pm.
Preparations are underway to introduce the first new train which will be introduced on TfL Rail Services between Liverpool Street and Shenfield from May this year before becoming part of the Elizabeth line, formerly Crossrail, when services launch in December 2018. When fully open in December 2019, the line will increase central London’s rail capacity, carrying over half a million passengers per day, helping TfL to keep pace with London’s growing population, which is set to rise from 8.6 million today to around 10 million by 2030.
Dan Gierhart, Customer Experience Manager for TfL Rail and the future Elizabeth line, will be coming to talk about the introduction of new trains and the benefits the Elizabeth line will bring to the area. Build your business contacts by networking with businesses in the Thurrock area, both small and large, as well as listening to the latest on the Elizabeth line from our guest speaker Dan Gierhart, Customer Experience Manager, Transport for London (TfL).
Thoroughly Thurrock brings together Essex Chambers of Commerce, along with South Essex College, Time 107.5FM, Park Inn by Radisson, and Orsett Hall in Thurrock, to deliver first class networking opportunities as well as listening to our guest speakers on topical business issues.
We hope to see you there.

Why is the headline talking about HS2? It seems to be about the Crossrail (Elizabeth Line) project. HS2 is the new west coast high speed line out of London Euston.
