Labour’s John Kent slams Conservative plan to reintroduce fox hunting

THURROCK man, and Labour candidate for the General Election on June 8, John Kent has condemned the Conservative Party for ‘obsessing’ over the reintroduction of fox hunting instead of improving residents’ lives.
Responding to Theresa May’s statement that she is in favour of seeing a return of fox hunting in the U.K, John Kent said:

“Banning fox hunting was a proud achievement of the last Labour Government.

“At a time when many hard working residents in Thurrock are struggling to get by this latest announcement by the Conservative Party beggars belief.

“More animal cruelty isn’t going to solve any of Thurrock’s problems. It shows how absurdly out-of-touch and incompetent the Conservatives are that they think that legalising the murder of wildlife is a national priority.

The Conservatives called this election but have no plan for the future – only Labour has the policies to improve the lives of people in Thurrock.”
