AVID ‘Masterchefs in the making’, Year 9 students from Curriculum Plus, recently cooked up some tasty treats as part of their Btec home skills cooking assessment.
They had to cook a two-course meal; a main meal and dessert of their choosing. Once this had been completed, and with just a couple more written pieces of work to be done, they will have achieved their qualification – Btec Level 2 in Home Cooking Skills.
Teacher, Mrs Rachel Reynolds, said “I am so proud of these boys and how far they have come with their cooking skills, it is simply amazing to see their progress and a privilege to be a part of their development. They have worked so hard to gain this qualification, and it is duly warranted.”
