THURROCK Writers Circle were proud to welcome Vaughan Stanger at its meeting this week. With his journey towards a writing career in short stories, he had the group captivated. From winning competitions at school with his stories, to his PHD in physics and his thesis, Vaughan persevered with his short stories. Attending writing courses, clubs and using his knowledge of technology and his love of science fiction, Vaughan persisted until he received his first acceptance.
Since then, his works have been read internationally in America, Canada, Poland and Isreal. Offering words of support and advice, the talk definitely motivated the group. With his short story books on offer, ‘Sons of the Earth,’ and ‘Moondust Memories,” group members were able to take away a signed momento of his visit. The next meeting will be 21st June.
