A MAN has been rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack in Blackshots.
A ambulance service spokesperson said: “We received a call today at 12.14pm to reports of a man who had collapsed at a leisure centre on Blackshots Lane in Grays.
“We dispatched an ambulance crew, two rapid response vehicles, and an air ambulance from the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAA). Medics treated the man, believed to be in his 50s, who was in cardiac arrest.
“Fortunately they were able to resuscitate him before taking him to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital via land ambulance for further care.
“He is believed to be in a serious condition”.
