A NUMBER of Thurrock volunteers are trying to raise money for poorly children in the borough.

The eleven strong group have undertaken their community work as part of the National Citizens Service.

A group member said: “We are a team called Zone 5 from the National Careers Service (NCS).

“Our charity is Make a Wish and the charity basically grant wishes of children that are either terminally ill or disabled and it could be the last wish.

“We want to grant a wish of a child in Thurrock and make their wishes come true. We also want to give the charity some money.
