THOUSANDS WERE raised at a family fun day to support the family of murdered local man Kevin Malthouse.
The famous kind hearts of local people turned up on Saturday and dug deep into their pockets at the Worlds End in Tilbury.
The monies raised so far come to an astonishing £31,000.
Much of this has been down to the incredible work of Kevin’s close friend, Wayne Morgan, who has not stopped raising funds for Kevin’s partner and child.
Tilbury councillor, Clare Baldwin has praised Wayne and then local community.
Cllr Baldwin said: “I am very proud of Wayne for the amazing work he has done.
“It makes me proud to be a Tilbury councillor to see how local people have come together to help a family hit by tragedy.
