THURROCK athletes competed in the South of England Championships at Crystal Palace over the weekend (19th/20th).
U15W Long Jump saw Ruby Bridger jump 5.50 (pb) and taking first place, Sola Taiwo came 4th with 5.02 having gained a pb during the heats with a jump of 5.17. Ruby also took 1st place in 75m Hurdles with a pb of 11.17. Daniel Ogutuga came 1st in Shot for the U15M with 11.69, he also competed in LJ , 100m and 200m.
Other results include: Harry Parker (U15M) 800m 2:08.91, Hayley Instance (U17W) 1500m 4:40.97, Jessica Whitbread (U17W) LJ 5.33, Sola Taiwo (U15W) 75mH 12.57 & Rosie Townley (U13G) 800m 2:52.02 pb and HJ 1.20.
