PEOPLE with hearing loss are invited to attend a free information event in the education centre, Basildon University Hospital on Thursday 30 November, 3-5pm. The ‘All Ears’ session has been organised by Hearing Help Essex, a registered charity that assists people with acquired hearing loss. It will be particularly helpful for those who are new to NHS hearing aids, but established users, friends and carers are all welcome to attend and find out more about available services and support.
Julie Leggett, outreach worker from Hearing Help Essex with Aimee McCall, chief audiologist at Basildon Hospital Aimee McCall, chief audiologist, adult audiology, at Basildon Hospital, will be among the team of professionals hosting the event. Information and advice will be on offer on topics such as managing hearing loss, adjusting to hearing aids and the wide range of assistive equipment and technology available to benefit day-to-day communication.
