A BRAVE student at South Essex College is a cut above the rest after having her head shaved to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Tilly Wright, from Stanford-le-Hope, took part in Brave the Shave to raise more than £100 for the charity.
Her fellow students watched and cheered her on as tutor Marc Smith cut her hair for the challenge.
The 16-year-old, who is studying Hair and Media Makeup at the College, said she wanted to do something unusual for charity and chose to lose her locks in Brave the Shave.
She said: “It’s such a wonderful cause so I decided to go for it. I’m always dyeing my hair to get a different look and you can’t get more different than having it shaved!
“The support I’ve received from my friends and family has been great and I’m glad I’ve raised this money to help people during a difficult time.”
