
A GRAYS man is set to stand trial in the new year on a number of charges including making threats to kill.
Christopher Purser, aged 51, of Clarence Road, Grays has been charged with the following.
On 30/10/2017 at Grays without lawful excuse, made to another person, a threat to kill him intending that the said person would fear that the said threat would be carried out.
On 30/10/2017 at Grays without lawful authority or reasonable excuse, had with you in a public place, namely Clarence Road, an offensive weapon, namely a hammer and a machete.
On 30/10/2017 at Grays used or threatened unlawful violence towards another and your conduct was such as would cause a person of reasonable firmness present at the scene to fear for his personal safety.
Purser will return to court on January 4th, 2018.
He has pled not guilty.
