THURROCK Lifestyle Solutions CIC celebrated the graduation of several disabled people in Thurrock from their partnership with fellow social enterprise organisation ‘Money A&E’ (Money Advice and Education)
Money A+E is an award winning social enterprise that provides money advice and educational services to BAME (Black, Asian, minority ethic) and hard to reach communities in London.
This is achieved through 1-to-1 advice, workshops, mentoring programmes and bespoke training.
Through their services people:
· increase their understanding & ability to manage money
· sustain tenancies & avoid homelessness
· reduce stress & improve wellbeing
· grow in confidence & believe in a better future
A spokesperson for TLS said: “TLS met them through the Social Enterprise world and invited them to do their magic in Thurrock.
“We know that people struggle with managing their finances and figured that Money A+E could meet the needs of our vulnerable community in Thurrock really well.
“Too many people sign up for expensive utilities, mobile phones or Loans. The course has proved an amazing success and some people have saved a whopping £300 per month by looking carefully at their energy bills, direct debits and all matters financial.
“Our staff were trained at the same time and are all now Money Mentors – a fantastic success for all.
We are thinking of running another course. If you are interested e-mail us on firstname.lastname@example.org
