LOTS of happy faces last Saturday in Purfleet. The Purfleet-on-Thames Community Forum joined forces with St Stephen’s Church to combine their annual Fayre and switching on of the Christmas lights.
Many stalls, a tombola and delicious food helped to make this year’s St Stephen’s Fayre the most successful, raising more money than in previous years. The pulled-pork rolls went down really well. It took five hours to cook the pork, which is probably why they were so tasty.
It was good to see PCRL and Swan Housing, developers of the new Purfleet out in force meeting the community.

Swan kindly supplied mince pies and mulled wine to make the switching on of the lights another successful event for the forum.

Purfleet-on-Thames…now that’s funny.
Think the Boots add must have gone to their heads.
