The weather decimated most of the Premier Division programme but Springfield were able to get their game on against White Ensign knowing that a win would return them to the top of the table. Their visitors were obviously reading from a different script as they took the lead through Liam Sewell and held on to the lead until the final minute. Then from Springfield’s point of view Ryan Batchford then played the hero as he fired home a last minute penalty that salvaged a point for the defending Premier Division champions. White Ensign will see Batchford as the villain as his goal deprived them of all three points.
Great Baddow move up to third after a 3-2 win over Old Chelmsfordians. Max Johnson, Samuel Mead and Dane Nelson scored the Great Baddow goals with Josh Goodey and Gareth Hutchings doing likewise for OCs.
