THE Careers and Enterprise Company programme was introduced two years ago. It is an employer-led organisation set up to inspire and prepare young people for the fast-changing world of work.
Business Leaders are working as Enterprise Advisors, on a voluntary basis, to provide strategic support to schools, help extend their business network and much more.
The Enterprise Advisor Network Thurrock is developing well, with business leaders from H&S Care, Finance, HR, Engineering, Logistics, Retail, Construction (so more than half of our key priority sectors).
The local Enterprise Co-ordinator is keen to recruit enthusiastic business leaders from Creative and Cultural and Public Service, though must build in some resilience with some EA’s in training, so all prospective EA’s are welcome.
A newly introduced, local Reward and Recognition Scheme is to encourage Enterprise Advisors to bring a professional contact to the network meeting. If the professional contact decides to join the EAN in Thurrock, their school will receive £150.
If redeemed against Inspire services, the amount quadruples, therefore worth £600.
