Thurrock’s lingerie entrepreneur starting a collaboration with a royal tailor

THURROCK’S lingerie entrepreneur Ella Vine teamed up with a royal tailor Marek Markowski to design a range of exclusive smoking jackets for men and women in the style worn by Prince Charles, Tom Cruise and David Bowie. This unique collaboration was launched officially last week at Ella Vine annual fashion show in London, where models were presenting beautiful underwear worn under designer luxury smoking jackets.

Ella, 32, opened a lingerie brand called Ella Vine with an online store only 9 months ago following business mentoring help from Essex Innovation Programme supported by Essex County Council. The brand is famous for its invention poppy suspenders that attach to stockings in an easy and quick way and which are being sold by various retailers, like Scarlett & Jo, top British plus size clothing brand. The venture is growing from strength to strength and more and more designer products can be found in the online store: handmade fine jewellery, shoes, dresses and now the exclusive smoking jackets.

Ella says: ”We are especially excited about our special collection of smoking jackets created by Marek Markowski, which was designed especially for Ella Vine online store and presented at our catwalk last week in London during Grand Opening of Miss Poland in the UK & NI 2018”. Marek Markowski is a sought-after tailor who made jackets for Prince Charles and royalty of other countries, like Brunei, films and Oscar-awarded actors, such as Tom Cruise, famous musicians and for Madam Tussand Museum, where he dressed James Bond. The Queen Elizabeth II was admiring jackets made by Marek on her visit to the Museum. Marek spend many years working for all leading houses in Saville Road, for example for Michael Fish, who designed for the Rolling Stones and David Bowie. Ella says: ”Now we bring a collection of smoking jackets made by Marek Markowski to Thurrock. They can also be made on measure on order at any time”.

50% of Ella’s customers are men and that is why Ella is opening men’s section of designer products, where the smoking jackets feature. Ella is open to fashion collaborations with other designers and businesses in Essex. She says: ”The Ella Vine store is one stop shop for elegance and luxury. It started as a little lingerie brand with the innovative poppy suspenders but I have never seen the need to narrow down its scope. It is exciting to offer customers various unique products and make them feel special that is why we are open to collaboration with other forward-thinking designers. With the Valentines’ Day approaching there are plenty of luxury gifts ideas for men and women in our store ”.
