Three arrested on suspicion of Corringham murder

TWO men and a teenage boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a fatal stabbing in Corringham.

Police were contacted by the ambulance service shortly before 7.40pm on Wednesday, March 21, with reports a man had been found injured in Queen Elizabeth Drive.

The 28-year-old victim, from the Corringham area, had suffered stab wounds to the leg and chest.

Sadly he died at the scene, despite the efforts of paramedics.

A 21-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy, both from Stanford-le-Hope, were arrested at an address on Nursery Road, around 11pm last night.

A 24-year-old man from Basildon has also been arrested on suspicion of murder, dangerous driving and failing to stop at a road traffic accident.

All three people remain in police custody for questioning.

We are now appealing for information about a black BMW 318, which had damage to its front offside bumper and wing, registration SM07 XJA. We believe the car was in the areas of Corringham and Basildon between 6.30pm and 9.00pm on the day of the incident.
