St Luke’s Hospice receive generous donation after afternoon tea in Grays

ST Luke’s Hospice received an incredible donation of £2,060 from sisters Sarah and Katie in memory of their mum Maureen Kemp who passed away in St. Luke’s care.

The sisters, helped by family and friends, organised a Vintage Afternoon Tea last Sunday afternoon at St. John the Evangelist Church Hall in Victoria Ave, Grays.

An overwhelming amount of people turned up with not a free seat to be had in the hall – as well at tea and cake they had organised several stalls including a raffle, tombola, and name the rabbit.

Diane Chester, Fundraising Assistant at the Hospice attended the event and said ‘’ We are so grateful to Sarah and Katie for their hard work and support and send massive thanks to them, their family, friends and everyone who helped and supported the event in  any way. It really was an amazing and enjoyable afternoon.’’
