ESSEX Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Grays.
They were contacted by the ambulance service shortly after 5.35pm on Monday, April 2 with reports the 19-year-old had been involved in a fight with another man in the High Street.
He suffered a stab wound to the abdomen and was located by paramedics at a footbridge near Grays train station.
The victim was taken to hospital. His injury was not believed to be life threatening.
A section of the High Street has been closed while forensic examination work takes place.
Enquiries are ongoing and witnesses or anyone with information that could assist the investigation are asked to contact Grays CID on 101.
