South Ockendon man charged with driving offences after allegedly crashing into house

A MAN has been charged following a series of driving offences in Colchester.

Jason Patmore, 25, from Galey Green, South Ockendon will appear in Colchester Magistrates’ Court this morning, Wednesday, June 6.

Patmore was arrested on Monday, June 4, after a car was stolen from Coronation Avenue and crashed into the front of a house on Barrack Street, causing minor injuries to two men.

The car continued towards Richmond Road, where it was in collision with fencing and a parked car.

Patmore was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, driving unfit through drink or drugs and criminal damage.

He has since been charged with these offences, as well as dangerous driving, driving a motor vehicle without the correct licence and driving without insurance.

Since his arrest, he has also been arrested and charged with two counts of assault by beating, and five counts of assaulting a police constable.
