ARTISTIC Directors of Caspa Arts and ex-Palmer’s College Students Michelle Payne and Abby Cassidy, are seeking aspiring actors from Essex to join their brand new acting school Caspa Arts.
Caspa Arts will provide 13 weeks of training every Sunday (September – December) at studios in London.
The aim of Caspa Arts is to train the next generation of dynamic and intriguing young actors with a focus on new writing. We want our actors to form connections with upcoming playwrights and directors to help secure future work when they feel they’re ready to move into the industry. It is so often that these connections help when looking for auditions and work – it’s not what you know, it’s who you know!
We are aiming to provide our students with weekly voice and movement classes as a grounding to their training, and top this up with acting technique related to the performance that we’re working towards. We will also be providing frequent masterclasses with west end performers and other industry professionals.
There will be two unique performance opportunities including ‘The Scratch’ at Phoenix Artist Club – a scratch night performance of various pieces of new writing by different writers, and ‘Twistmas – an original play written by Michelle Payne at a central London venue. This will provide an opportunity for those in the cast to invite agents and casting directors.
