Thameside Primary School top medal table in Thurrock School Games

THAMESIDE Primary School, in Manor Road, Grays, demonstrated sporting excellence and their commitment to inclusive competitive sport by finishing top of the medal table in the Thurrock School Games by more than 500 points.

The games, organised by the Thurrock School Sport Partnership involved 38 Thurrock Primary schools, competing in approximately 30 sporting disciplines over the course of the academic year. The programme is a celebration of competitive sport involving children of all abilities and from all backgrounds.

Thameside scoped gold medals in Year 5/6 Tag Rugby, Year 5/6 Basketball, Year 5/6 Table Tennis, Year 3/4 Tag Rugby and KS1 Cross Country. They won further medals in girls and boys Football, Athletics, Dance, the borough Olympics, Quad Kids, Cricket, Rounders and Tennis.

Second place went to Giffords Primary School in Corringham and third to Belmont Castle Academy, Grays.
