THERE are so many lovely events organised by Contact the Elderly. YT asked organiser, Wendy Holland about the latest event.
Wendy said: “We had another fantastic evening for our final contact the elderly games night of the year this evening. I decided for a treat I would cook dinner for all guests and volunteers.
“I cooked pasta and Bolognese it was a big success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert volunteers bought vienetta and trifle which finished it off brilliantly.
“Then was on to the games with such a friendly atmosphere everyone had a really enjoyable evening. None of this would of been possible without the wonderful volunteer drivers, so a great big massive thank you very much to all who have helped this year.
Contact the Elderly spokesperson, Lorraine Coleman said: “A very big Thurrock Contact the Elderly thank you to our lovely volunteer Wendy for cooking us a delicious meal this evening at our Games Night.
“Both guests and volunteers had a fabulous time with so much fun and laughter. The Games Night was Wendy’s idea and this has been such a fantastic success. Thank you so much Wendy you are a star.”
