Beauty duo team launch new salon in heart of Grays
SHELLEY Jackson, 35, Grays and Emma Wright, 42, both from Grays, have been working in the beauty industry for a combined 32 years and have joined forces to create a small space of tranquil heaven in the heart of their hometown.
Over a hundred-people celebrated with the pair at the launch event last Monday (15 October) celebrating with muffins, a drink of something sparkly and a tour of the new salon in Curzon Drive.
Shelley started training at 16, and has worked in a number of salons before settling down in a salon at the bottom of her garden.
She said: “It was great working from home while the kids were young, but now their grown, we’ve moved home and an opportunity came up with Emma to offer a whole host of treatments to our clients in one place.
“I want to say thank you to all our clients who have been so supportive over the last year through our changes but I’m pleased we now have a real home for the foreseeable future.”
Shelley has over 35,000 hours worth of experience and is hailed locally as the queen of nails and waxing.
Emma is a registered nurse and worked for the NHS for six years before setting up her own company 12 years ago offering an array of botox and filler treatments.
Emma said: “Shelley and I work together really well – our treatments really complement each other so our customers benefit from combined offers on treatments all from one place.”
The new location has plenty of parking and is open 9am – 9pm Monday to Friday.
