THURROCK suffered their second consecutive defeat on the road in what become a very frustrating afternoon with an unprecedented penalty count against the visitors which was the difference between the two teams. A minutes silence for the passing of club stalwart Martin Fahey preceded the kick off

An early home penalty stretched the lead and the home team added a thirds try from a another catch and drive before Henry Bird added a try to reduce the deficit before a break away try increased the home time lead before Dan Stone pulled it back with another converted try both by Stanley the deficit now just one converted try and Thurrock threw everything at them in the last 5 minutes but could not find the break through
