New Saturday School for Adults at TACC
FIND the right learning for you at your local community college whether for work, a new hobby/skill, wellbeing or perhaps all three! Thurrock Adult Community College (TACC) has a wide range of courses now available and their popular Saturday workshops make a welcome return on 26 January 2019.
Do you struggle to get your point across? Learn how to address difficult behaviours, from evasive to aggressive to resolve problems with others on TACC’s popular ‘Difficult People, Brave Conversations’ January workshop. Become more informed on an Autism Awareness session or take the first step to a new career with our Introduction to Childcare.
In March, try new Sushi Making, Scrapbooking, Basketry and Creative Writing taster sessions or a Tasty Treats fun session for families, all on offer for only £5.
Try the ‘Eat Well Be Well’ from TACC’s new Well programme of classes, for those with mild mental health issues; connect with others in a safe and comfortable environment to discover how learning (and food) can make a big difference to the way you feel.
Personal and professional development courses are also available on Saturdays at TACC, including Schematic Play for those in the childcare and education sector, Domestic Violence awareness workshop, Public Speaking, Communicating Effectively at Work, Minute Taking and an Introduction to Teaching Adults, for those interested in working within the lifelong learning sector.
For more details on these and other daytime/evening courses from January to July 2019, download the new Course Guide from www.thurrock.gov.uk/adultcollege. Booking in advance is essential to avoid disappointment by calling 01375 372476 or dropping into the college in Richmond Road, Grays, RM17 6DN. Enrolments must close one week before the start date.
