Goals by Alexander Akrofi (1′), Amir Berkane (55′) and Harry Gibbs (76′) secured all three points.
Rover’s goals were by Anthony Martin (70′ and 89′).
The result leaves Aveley in fourth place on 58 points with nine games left.
They return to action on Friday at home against Witham Town.
