Shetland pony rescued from Tilbury

ESSEX Firefighters were called to help rescue a Shetland Pony who had fallen into a deep concrete hole (approximately 4m deep) near Fort Road, Tilbury. The hole also had around one metre of water.

Firefighters secured the pony using strops (ropes specially used for animal rescues) and pulled the pony out of the hole.

The pony was rescued by 11am.
