A SOUTH OCKENDON man is set to stand trial charged with escaping from police custody.
Michael Ugwa, aged 26, of Annalee Gardens, South Ockendon was charged with the following.
On 09/04/2019 at South Ockendon being in lawful custody, escaped from the said custody.
On 09/04/2019 at South Ockendon stole handcuffs to the value of £16.95 belonging to Essex Police.
A trial date of September 9th, 2019 at Basildon Crown Court has been set.
Ugwa has been released on conditional bail.
