Do you recognise this man?
ESSEX Police want to speak to him about a racially aggravated assault at the junction of Quebec Road and Calcutta Road in Tilbury, at 2.45pm on Friday 15 March.
Two men got out of a green Land Rover and stamped on the bonnet of a silver Honda Jazz.
The driver, a 52-year-old man, was then punched repeatedly and pulled out of the car. He fell to the ground and was kicked and stamped on.
We are now in a position to release a CCTV image of one of two men we are looking to speak to.
The other man was described as white, aged in his mid-30s, about 6ft tall and of medium build. He was clean-shaven and wore jeans and a T-shirt.
Investigating officer PC Victoria Harris said: “This was a vicious attack, which we believe was unprovoked, and left the victim with internal bruising and back injuries.
“I’m asking for the public’s help to identify the man pictured, who I need to speak to in connection with my investigation.
“There were also a number of people in the area at the time, and I’m keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened but has yet to come forward.
“I’d also like to speak to anyone who saw a green Land Rover driving in the area before and after the incident.”
Witnesses are asked to call PC Harris in the Grays community policing team on 101 quoting reference 42/41096/19.
