New dining offers making a hen-trance at intu Lakeside
THIS week sees brand-new dinning offers for customers at intu Lakeside with the opening of the first-of-its-kind dining concept, The Hall and start-up chicken restaurant, Chiktopia.
Chiktopia debuted their brand on Wednesday along with The Hall, who’s restaurant is the first out-out-town concept from thriving London food hall operator Market Halls.
The Hall had an amazing start with customers trying out a range of independent food vendors from across Essex and the South East with brands such as Burger & Beyond, Fundi Pizza, Mother Clucker and Curry On Naanstop. There are also two bars serving craft beers and cocktails, and a huge screen to catch the latest games on.
Chiktopia who have launched as the ‘tastiest and craviest chicken,’ also had a warm welcome from locals this week. The new casual chicken eatery serves up fried and grilled chicken burgers and tenders along with skinny fries, salads, wraps and vegan and veggie options. Plus thick shakes!
These two new concepts sit alongside a range of other leisure and dining operators and are all part of intu Lakeside’s £72 million leisure development. As part of this development, customers can also enjoy a game at Hollywood Bowl and jump around at Flip Out adventure Park. Shortly, Puttshack, a hi-tech mini golf experience will be opened for more fun and Nickelodeon Adventure – a family entertainment centre, will join in the world of fun later in the year.
Other restaurants that are currently open include, Zizzi’s and TGI Friday’s. Casco Lounge, a café-bar from successful operator Loungers, will be opening next month.
Howard Oldstein, centre director at intu Lakeside, said: “This is a big year for us and our customers, and we are very pleased to have The Hall and Chiktopia open at intu Lakeside this week. It’s been very exciting to see how they’ve been welcomed by our customers as they bring a completely new dining experience.
Along with other eateries such as Casco Lounge, there’s going to be an even greater variety of dining options now available at intu Lakeside.”
Andy Lewis Pratt, CEO of Market Halls, said: “This is an exciting avenue for Market Halls. The Hall will provide a new and vibrant social dining option for the 20 million visitors to intu Lakeside every year.”
