Come and join the Grays Beachcombers

ON Sunday with the help of employees and friends from the UAE Embassy, the North Thames Estuary Litterpickers passed the 50,000 single use plastic bottle count! Below is a picture of the 50,001 bottle that was appropriately picked by the UAE group.

In total 24 people picked 32 sacks of rubbish including 216 single use plastic bottles.

Wednesday 13th November – meeting at Falcon Wood, Argent Street RM17 6JU at 10:00 to 12:00. This is the regular BATIAS clean-up. All welcome.

Wednesday 20th November – meeting at old St Clements Church RM20 4AL at 10:30 to 13:30. We will be picking from around the QE2 Bridge area. This adult only event will include up to 6 miles walking so comfortable walking shoes/boots are recommended.

Saturday 30th November – meeting at Concrete Barges in Rainham at 10:30 to 13:30. Meeting in the riverside carpark in Coldharbour Lane, Rainham RM13 9YQ.

Sunday 1st December – meeting at Grays Yacht Club RM17 6JF at 10:30 to 12:00 followed by free refreshments in the Lightship Café. This is the Grays Beachcombers regular monthly pick and is a family friendly event suitable for accompanied children 6 years and older.
