EE LAUNCHES 5G IN GRAYS
EE continues 5G rollout with coverage arriving in 14 new cities and towns across the UK, including Grays
Independent testing from RootMetrics confirms EE has the broadest 5G network, with the highest 5G availability in London, Birmingham and Cardiff

EE has switched on 5G in Grays – as customers in the town are amongst the first in the country to receive the latest mobile network technology.
The town is are among 14 new locations, also including Harlow, to benefit from EE’s 5G network, as independent tests from RootMetrics reveal it has the best performing 5G network, with the most coverage, in London, Birmingham and Cardiff.
EE was the first to launch 5G in the UK when six cities were switched on in May, including London. Since then it has been building its network on a daily basis.
The announcement means people in Grays are among the first in the country to benefit from the latest mobile phone network technology, which is set to revolutionise the way we live and work

According to the latest 5G testing by RootMetrics, EE’s 5G network achieved the highest average download speed and 5G availability in London, Birmingham and Cardiff*. RootMetrics’ availability’ measure shows how often devices connected to 5G during download testing across each city.
5G is built on top of EE’s award winning 4G network – customers will connect to both 4G and 5G at the same time to get the best possible experience, even in the most crowded areas.
EE has 5G in more places in the UK than other network, and is targeting 5G connectivity in 45 cities and large towns by the end of the year. Customers can enjoy 5G in the following cities and large towns today:
